Sarah's finishing up editing on round 2 (of 3...heck, I only get one shot at edits for my books!) as I write this blog of her spankin' new December 2011 due-out book "Practical Mixed Media Printmaking." Man oh man oh woman, what a book it's gonna be! GREAT photos, GREAT text, beautifully laid out...she's such a good writer, I'm so proud of her!

Man, this latest Hitchcock book is slow but sure. Titled "Objects as Subjects: The Non-Human Protagonists in Alfred Hitchcock's Films" (McFarland & Company; Due date December 2011), I'm about half-way there with his 53 films...chairs, stairs, lamps, cities, trains, candles...they almost breathe onscreen at times while upstaging the real actors!

Without art there would be few outlets for all the happiness and turmoil--extremes of emotion--in our all-too-human lives! Question: What if generals and politicians and terrorists and nation-builders gave a war and, instead of nobody coming, they all began to dance improvisationally?
