Marc Strauss, Ph.D. and Sarah Riley, MFA

Marc Strauss, Ph.D. is a Professor Emeritus, having worked 19 years in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Southeast Missouri State University (1995 - 2014). Marc trained, taught and researched dance and film for over 30 years in New England, New York, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Costa Rica. His areas of expertise are in dance history, aesthetics, ballet, ballroom, choreography, the creative process, and the films of Fred Astaire and Alfred Hitchcock. Sarah Riley, MFA, is a Professor Emerita from the Department of Art at Southeast Missouri State University (1994 - 2014). Ms. Riley is proficient in a wide variety of media, including printmaking, oils, acrylic, pencils & inks, watercolor, mixed-media, and intaglio, among others.
Marc and Sarah loved working at university but, in large part because of the light and water and seafood and swimming and arts and whale watching and family and friends, it was very easy to retire to their "second," now primary, home in Wellfleet, Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Sarah

Sarah often blows up photos we take of everyday life--a couple relaxing at Great Pond in Wellfleet, or three lovely "ladies" posing for us in P-town, for example--and juxtaposes them with figure drawings of one of our little mini-schnauzers, Nikke and Gracie.
